"CineTrek from the Field" highlights production footage created by members of the CineTrek program. CineTrek (short for Cinematic Journey), pairs apprentice filmmakers and photographers with seasoned professionals in the field to create media resources for humanitarian organizations. CineTrek is a program of the non-profit organization MediaServe International.

Videos are one minute updates from the field and have no music or intricate editing. Just footage updates from the stories we are working on.

The clip "Eastleigh" is from a project with the International Rescue Committee. Eastleigh is a suburb of Nairobi, Kenya and represents a large community of urban refugees, many being Somali. CineTrek is partnering with the International Rescue Committee to tell the story of urban refugees.
