Colored, warm and variously usable, SaveTheCube faces the world of design and recycling in a very nice and funny way. Designed and handmade by NoDo Studio, it grows up within the self-produced project of design named RE-Live, based on the concepts of recover and reuse.
Since quite long, NoDo Studio realizes design elements through the recycling of wasted pallets and this has produced the idea of recover the waste of wasted. During the manufacturing and transformation of pallets, there are considerable remains of what is actually their strongest part. The so-called "cubes" are wood elements cube-shaped that give the right stability to pallet, lifting it up the ground. These elements, usually intended to become waste, are literally SAVED and reprojected to perform a new role. An enlightening body that can be laid, screwed, hung and suspended.
The origin of cubes involves that none of them can be equal to another because the waste material is subject to different changes of color and shape according to the specific use and history of each single pallet.
