Did a little bit of post work on these shots with Final Cut.

Once again this cuts off suddenly because i still haven't taken any proper shots. Mostly tests of the "manual focus".

This was the HF10 with no lense attachment.

The song is called "Horseback Tenors" by Efterklang.

    30P?
And what were your render/output settings?
  • Yoni Oron 3 months ago
yes it was shot @ 30p using the XP setting and then output through final cut as a quicktime movie, which i then compressed to the settings recomended for vimeo. i hope that helps.

Nice! Good job, I am not sure if you can get this quality off a HF10 with a PC, what do you think?
  • Yoni Oron 3 months ago
Thanks! I really don't know though, sorry.
  • Lucien Kleijkers 3 months ago
Why not? Definitely possible with a PC as well.
For best quality and compact size best to use multi-pass (i.e. WMVHD with 2 pass avg/peak).

What does it matter if the movie was created using a PC or a MAC?

    Wouldn't the application matter most?
  • Yoni Oron 3 months ago
i think what matters most is not just the app, but also your settings and output also your final compression for vimeo is VERY important to have a nice video up here
  • YELA 3 months ago
Final Cut Pro is what matters, it's only available for Mac and it's the best video application for video editting in the price range, on the other hand PC platform has some nice applications but I wonder what can be compared to FCP for the price.

FCP is a $1,000 for that you can find other powerful editing programs. It is great but it's definitely not your only choice for making high quality videos.

Did you import your clips using iMovie first and then bring into FCP?

Found that the HF10 will not import directly into FCP, have you experienced this?
  • Yoni Oron 3 months ago
mine connects to FCP just fine. i connect the camera via usb. then set it to printer/pc

then i go to the log and transfer (note not log and capture) and it finds my camera
