The ongoing civil war in Syria led to the worst refugee crisis in recent history. Since the outbreak of war in 2011 Syrians are constantly fleeing the country, mainly to Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and Iraq. According to figures provided by UNHCR more than 2.600.000 Syrians are currently seeking refuge, amongst them are over 1.000.000 children. Another 6.500.000 Syrians are believed to be internally displaced.
Those who managed to find refuge outside Syria often don't have access to governmental help and need to stay in inofficial makeshift camps.
