In "Revenge of Hayabusa" (2012), I gave satisfactory amount of Japanese music crossbred with the music of 80's. When I work with Japanese directors, we do not portray exotism, but in American film such as "Kill Bill", "Rising Sun", "The Karate Kid", visually and aurally explode the orientalism. I see this as a complement, just as how Monet and Gauguin was fascinated and influenced by Hokusai's print.

I believe, not only as an artist, but to be a decent human being, one must be able to get into the mind of anyone, and write, feel, and compose from their point of view.

Thank you for your continuous support and love. -Karin
