A web-based application is developed for the manipulation of geo-referenced objects regarding their visual features based on high-resolution satellite images. In general, this application contains three main components: a database for the storage of objects description, an engine for the processing of image data from raster to vector, and a WebUI employing AJAX for interactive objects manipulation. To take the application into validity, satellite images captured from Google Maps and Google Maps APIs have been employed for the implementation of the web. The result of the demonstrated application - benefiting by the availability of GIS, image processing, visualization and Web techniques - opens potential problems for the investigation into further developments on GIS-based human-centric Web services.
