This video was produced by Arlene Norton during her January 2008 trip to Ethiopia.
The children you see in the video are enrolled in the True Light Childcare Project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We (Indigenous Outreach International and Elevate Ethiopia) are giving support to this effort. In the video you will see children who live in the poorest of conditions. Some are living in "moon houses". These are plastic houses built by the poor. They can not afford rent so they make illegal structures in the middle of the night by the light of the moon. These structures can be bulldozed down by the government at any time. There are also children who work for pennies a day as young as 7 years old. Most families featured in this video work for about $1 a day.
WE ARE A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION.
