I visited my mate's place to do a quick test shoot with the amazing Panasonic GM1 to see how it would perform. For it's incredibly small size, the footage comes out really clean. The noise performance is fantastic. The size made it easy to get useable handheld shots but also made rack focusing rather challenging. I like the focus ring of the Panasonic 25mm 1.4 a lot more for filming and it's shape makes it much easier to film with.
The camera itself does not facilitate a dedicated ISO button which meant digging through the touch screen menu. Annoying at first but it doesn't take long to get used to the controls.
The Voigtlander 25mm 0.95 is a beast of a lens.
So far, I'm loving this camera. I'll definitely be finding more opportunities to film with this guy. The awesome image quality, the extremely discreet size and awesome low-light capabilities means no more excuses to not go out and film something.
