Right on Gary. Working on drilling down on my linchpin idea about BBQ right now. Got a few ideas percolating and thanks for the reminder!

Great idea, searching the little spot. And then, helping others to find it to.

I love it: Crush It / triibes / Linchpin mash up. Getting the niche right (granular enough) is so easily forgotten - start small, win there and that gives you the right (and the following) to go broader and bigger.

Thanks. I get it. But, even with a miner's hat on, going deep down, really deep down, is a bit scary. Hard to see what surrounds me. My 'it', my indespensAbility. How do I really know when I have found it. After so many years of sounding like the others screaming for attention.

This is a great video. Combining Linchpin and Crush It, it works and it is important to remember it's not about doing HUGE things, but doing the smaller things that make a difference and always staying true to your passion.

Excellent short, visual reminder. I'll have to go out an pick up Crush It. Has anyone read it? A decent buy?

Brilliant, simple, made me think about mine. And to keep it narrow, keep our marketing focused on small business, and even smaller, on fnancial services businesses. Where we are really crushing it in this tiny country on the back side of the world, Oz.

Yes, exactly. This is the Niche! For me it's creating blogging strategy for my clients with a Wordpress self-hosted site. I love it. Thanks for facilitating an internal affirmation for Gary.

Is it about going that LOW or going that HIGH? Fascinating take and I agree, just not sure if it is LOW vs. HIGH or DEEP vs. SHALLOW! Yes as an opener, Gary is unbeatable, but then he is unbeatable any time in any line up.

thanks Gary for the extra animated facial expression to make the point and the pondering 'sad' moment. I was truly touched. (you know, you look like a young Joe Pesci but with a much better nose)

This was brilliant! Short and at the same time, made sure that it fully delivered what it takes to be a linchpin, very much Gary style!

Loved that - as have just finished 'Crush It' so it was perfect timing - thank you. PS why is going small so scary? It just is. Totally 'got it' this time.

Great insights for the upward and mobile professional from two marketing and masterminds! Seth & Gary, your ideas and thoughts are revolutionary and spot on in our ever changing world. Jay (in response to your comment above), I am presently reading Linchpin and can't say enough good things about it. It is an epic, a masterpiece and in Seth's own words a 'purple cow for individuals'. I highly recommend it.

    well said.
big ideas can be a form of resistance, too. sometimes thinking smaller is what's necessary.

    thanks!

That was very inspiring. What most people fail to see is that the one's that have made it big had a huge behind the scenes process to get there.

I've learned that everything has it's time and place..and by taking small steps every day as Gary says..doing what you are good at...will eventually lead you to where you really want to be.

I'm not there yet..and it's OK. I am enjoying seeing others process which inspire me to keep going.

I have been enjoying GaryV ever since I heard/saw his speech at Web2.0. He is always about the passion piece in life and business. My favorite Gary-line is,"If you love Smirfs then Smirf it up!" Gary says in today's world to get known you have to have Passion, Patience and Persistence. Rock on Gary V. hhtp://karen@karenmccullough.com
