5D Mark II test also available: vimeo.com/91436934
Ran a few tests with the 5D Mark III utilizing the Magic Lantern 14-bit RAW hack and Film Convert film stock emulator. MUST WATCH IN 1080p HD. A lot of RAW quality and nearly all of the definition and detail in film grain emulation is lost online. Download the original video for best viewing quality.
Noticeable improvement in aliasing and moire (nearly none) compared to the 5D Mark II test (vimeo.com/91436934). Also lends itself to sustaining more grain when applying the Film Convert profiles, where as we actually had to pull back the amount of grain on the RAW 5DmkII clips due to it intensifying the aliasing and moire issues present.
Shot with Canon EF 24-105mm F/4 L.
RAW footage shot at 1920x1080, RAW to DNG using RAWMagic, DNG to ProRes422 using After Effects.
Basic color correction and Film Convert plugin applied within FCP7.
