Most of the Nepalese children living with HIV became infected through their mothers. The women's husbands work in the neighboring country of India and return home with the virus. Luckily there are some organizations who help these children like FNC: Friends for Needy Children who fight for Nepalese children with HIV.
In Nicaragua teenagers feel that talking about HIV and Aids on the radio is not enough. In order to reach the target audience you need to go out in the streets and spread the word.
About 15% of the world's HIV infected adolescents live in South Africa. This means that more than 300.000 children between the ages of 10 and 19 years are HIV infected.
