“American Indian Art”, Galerie Flak, Paris, April 3rd to May 3rd 2014.
This exhibition of ancient Plains and Southwest material presents a panorama of exemplary types of body ornaments, sculptures, and objects used for ceremonies, to wage war, or in everyday life, in the 19th century and at the turn of the 20th.
Across this spectacular ensemble of antique pieces—war bonnets, tomahawks, pipes, beaded vests and bags—this exhibition is designed to render homage to the proud warriors, the great sages, and the medicine men and women who remain a source of inspiration and elevation for our world today.
