"Pistoleros Famosos Remixed" , project created by Ángel Sánchez Borges at Hangar in Barcelona , thanks to the FONCA 2006 Artistic Residencies Grant.
The project consists in a live mixed movie and a generative soundtrack related.
Subjects are Narco Culture, Tex-Mex Border and Copy Leftism. Video sources for this movie was taken from You Tube, Google Earth and Second Life streamings. Filmed with a free video screen recorder and processed with cracked video software; then mixed as a live session with Pure Data and PDP library, thanks to LLuis Gómez. The soundtrack was generated with registered version of Reaktor cause I love it. PD and Reaktor were linked thru Open Sound Control.
The movie is based mostly in José Eugenio Sánchez poems and Los Cadetes de Linares "Pistoleros Famosos" original soundtrack.
