Newark, New Jersey's African American Office of Gay Concerns (AAOGC) hired Robert Penn productions to develop, write, cast, shoot, edit and encode six 60-second PSAs promoting HIV testing. The process took three months from first meeting in September 2009 to casting non-actors and shooting footage in October to editing in November and finally commissioning the score and encoding the completed flash video files in mid-December 2009. Each PSA features a member of the target population telling her or his reasons why taking the HIV test is important.
