APC40 device MODES patch tutorial 1
I made this video to explain my APC40 device MODES patch posted on maxforlive.com. Big thanks to Michael Chenetz for showing the way at max4live.info and Darren Cowley for making some killer devices to hack.
This is my first tutorial, I hope it's suffecient, next time maybe more efficient.

Maybe you can help me with the patch, and I'll make you an intro clip in AE. That one is kinda thrown together. I could make one thats better thought out and executed.
As far as the patch goes. I am not sure I even like doing this with the APC40. After doing it, I feel like having more selections that are accessed in this way gets confusing when trying to perform. I dont like switching modes. I'd rather there be another row of buttons on the APC40. I seem to work better, and have more fun when my set is simplified, or accessed without some kind of "shift" procedure.
Maybe a Matrix mode would be better, because you could make the LEDs specific in color.
That was wicked mate, loved the tunes and love the patch, totally configurable without having to get under the hood and rip things apart, perhaps a lesson i could learn!
I'm thinking that the matrix mode is going to be the way forwards for me as well, i'm a shifted fan, so i reckon i could get 5 extra effects per track whilst in this mode.... Still need to disable scene launch permanently without effecting anything else though!
Cheers

He has the BEST tutorials for free. AE is expensive though. When I upgrade to CS5 whenever it comes out, I will have a Production Premium CS3 for sale dirt cheap!
I have to say the Launchpad is still one of the easiest and best platforms to program for in M4L.
