BioVideo 2 is the second piece of an interactive video installations series. These series speak about attraction, the passage of time and the process on creation and cataloging of memories through technology. They try to find answers to these questions: what happens if we allow our behaviours to be methodically and massively processed? do we have a right to be forgotten?
Each visitant was captured in real-time using a videocamera by the grabber application, that analyzes images, detects movement areas and stores this information. Then a second application shown a recomposition of the different images inside a 3d visualization, that flies around the visitor's head. In addition, at the entrance of the facility, the second application was displaying the last captured images with a sort of generative melody based on each captured data.
It was presented at Festiva Edición Madrid (FEM) on 24 and 25 November 2006 in the old Hotel Reina Victoria, now ME Hotel and one of the most modern hotels in the city. FEM, the Temptations Fair, is organized by the Art Issues Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Community of Madrid and Madrid City Council and the special collaboration of British Council.
