What does this mean? You can record uncompressed 4:2:2 out of 7D and maybe out of 550D too?

the image looks brighter and colors look more vibrant. what was the ISO used and could i perhaps get to take a look at the original versions PLEASE!

@Christian Flook: The camera was set at the same ISO on both I am sure, as that is the point of this test, the capture device is taking the feed from the HDMI which changes to 480 when you hit record on the Canon but outputs full HD when not recording. Hope that answered your question.

Please Patrick, I need to know if I can record from the my 7D by the HDMI directly to Nanoflash like you but I can see the frame of Focus function on the image, why???
It minds that we can't monitored in camera mode?

you'll have to remove the square in post...canon mae it this way so you keep on buying their real camara line lol. plus you dont get full 1080p out the HDMI output you get 960p...still usable and better than 720p. So yes you can use the nano to directly record live.

Remove the square in post?!! In Fantasy land maybe... no Alex the nanoflash is not for 5d, 7d, at least not yet.

Magic lantern is the answer!!! Removes everything from screen during Live view. Now yo can record with nanoFlash!
