They should have these commentators at mass every Sunday. "There he goes folks, he's drinking the wine, slowly....slowly.....and he's done!.....amazing!"
If my grandfather saw this, he'd rollover in his grave, haha...
I think they need some of those red carpet commentators discussing the Pope's vestments and regalia. Who is the designer? Ralph Lauren? It could elevate the whole Pope thing and the Catholic church to a new level of public awareness. Who is outfitting the pope and the Cardinals?
well....is that really the pope?...or soap on a rope.....lol.....come on......let's face it, Christianity is the biggest lie in the whole of human history....sorry....I can't help myself....did I say what millions of people are thinking? I heard they found a page from the first bible and it read "Dear my darling Candy, all persons portrayed in this book are purely fictitious and have no resemblance to any person living or dead".....you be the judge.... ;)
Sorry to hear your thoughts on this. How do you explain Church History, even from a secular perspective? What is your basis for interpreting your beliefs, anything concrete, or just pure misconception?
I hear this so often and wonder if the people that make statement like this have ever done any research at all, even at a secular point of view, over 2000 years of historical documents, Roman artifacts, the Shroud of Turin, not to even mention modern DNA analysis of several items from the time of Christ. And yet your analysis of all ever provided is... its a lie? Now that is the most illogical response I have ever heard.
ok, so the pageantry, the multi-channel coverage, and the vestments are well over the top, but still, is it really necessary to attack Christianity as a whole because of the actions of one denomination. Mike?
anyhow, I don't intend to start a flame war here. I agree that the whole over-televisation is actually rather silly, which I guess was the point of the clip.
ok....come on....I've been all over the world - not saying I believe or disbelieve in "A" God - but I've never seen anything that tells me there is one all mighty being controlling us all.....anyway...forgive me for being so direct....but have you thought about the possibility that I have done research on this and found it to be a man made archetype for controlling the masses?....well....think what you will....but at the same time you say I am attacking it, maybe you should think about the reasoning I "attack it" as you say - which in fact what I am not doing at all....I am merely stating that no one ever......and I mean ever can actually say that this "being" is there....if anything this "being" is in us all and therefore can't be just one. Whether people are good or bad there is a controlling element to this behaviour - and I speak from a scientific point of view here and not from a religious one of course... You must also ask yourself the question - if there is a "God"...then why is the world falling apart and everywhere people are killing each other and people are going hungry? If you want to talk about being pragmatic in my approach to the clip, then I can only say that it was such a full on representation of today’s western society - in the sense that people are told that if they are bad they will spend the rest of eternity in a fire type hell....which you have to admit sounds pretty insane and may I add....condescending to the intellectual among us. Feel free to call me a liar....and maybe you too in turn should do some research of your own before attacking the truth of a controlled society - which incidentally you live in too....
Ps….I was brought up in a Catholic country…so I know all about “it”….
and if did offend you, I'm man enough to say sorry...can you?

The last 20 seconds or so was golden.
