Japan is currently facing the challenge of a rapid expansion of its aging population while simultaneously moving into a highly advanced information society. It is necessary to integrate these two paradigm shifts in order to solve a variety of global issues which Japan is facing.
Japan has just started developing strategies to use ICT to deal with its aging society. The question is whether this “Japan Model” can be deployed world-wide. The United States and many parts of the world are also aging rapidly. It is our mission to find out how Japan and the US jointly contribute to provide a solution for these challenges.
