Alarm was a multimedia sound installation that i created for the Brunswick Arts 'Still Moving' exhibition. My previous piece ‘Alone’ had been so successful that I was asked to make a bigger piece of work for their next biannual group exhibition. The piece was projected on a big screen for the duration of the show. It’s an examination of the anti natural calls of the night, experienced in a built up artificial environment. I suppose I was trying to illustrate the plethora of siren and artificially generated electrical noise of suburbia as not dissimilar to the calls of the wild after dark. The piece was put together using Adobe Audition & Aftereffects.
