Opening of the IMAX film Destiny in Space. This sequence of the the space shuttle Discovery was filmed with a remotely operated IMAX camera that was attached to free-flying satellite called SPAS. The crew released SPAS, then flew Discovery away from the satellite. The camera was the run remotely from the ground via a computer program. No rehearsals, only one take per shot was possible. This is probably the most difficult live action sequence ever filmed.
