The rubber band. An everyday object that's simple in its use and useful in its simplicity. Remarkable for its functionality, but perhaps even more so for its adaptability that allows it to take on virtually any shape, limited only by one's imagination.
The annual ADM Grad Show by the School of Art, Design and Media, Nanyang Technological University, seeks to capture this elusive, metamorphic essence. More than an exhibition tour de force showcasing the works of the graduating batch of students, the ADM Grad Show is also a celebration of the limitless possibilities and unbounded capabilities of individual ideas.
This year's show sees 167 students stretched across 6 majors banding together for the display of their Final Year Projects. The culmination of works from the Animation, Digital Photography, Digital Film-making, Product Design, Interactive Media and Visual Communication majors forms a testament to the rigour and depth, experimentation and exploration of the Art, Design and Media curriculum, and also bears witness to each student's dedicated and passionate involvement in the creative process, from research to production.
Just as the rubber band, in its original state, represents the birth of ideas, the ADM Grad Show is the springboard from which infinite potential takes flight.
Music: "Word Of Prey (Instrumental)" by "Christopher Norman" licensed by Audiosocket.
