Hot temperatures are going to fry San Diego County over the next three days and powerful winds will scour the East County. Today we're expecting to hit 88 degrees along the coast breaking the last record of 86. Winds are going to gust at over 85-miles-per-hour according to the National Weather Service. At this point there isn't a high fire danger warning but that could change. San Diego County does have several "Cool Zones" across the county. To check out the list just Google "San Diego County Cool Zones".

San Diego County's Board of Supervisors is meeting this morning at 9:00 AM. They are going to talk about raising building permit fees to help pay for fire protection in the unincorporated parts of the county. They want to raise the fee from 47 cents per square foot to 52.

San Diego City Council is meeting at 10:00 AM and on the agenda is the Black Mountain Open Space Park plan.

Also at 10:00 this morning San Diego County Water Authority is launching their water conservation campaign at the San Vicente Dam.

This afternoon at 1:15 Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Councilman Mark Kersey, Councilwoman Sherri Lightner, Councilman Scott Sherman and a pothole Repair Crew are talking to the press about the mayors infrastructure projects funding in the new city budget. Faulconer is calling his budget the "One San Diego" budget and repairing pothole is a big part of it. They’ll be at 30th Street and Date Street filling in some potholes.

Tonight at 5:00 San Diego Unified School District Board of Education is meeting about the 2015-2016 budget. There is a proposal to have that budget drafted when the 2014-2015 budget is adopted. It's supposed to force the district to plan long term. You know not spend this year at the expense of next.

Two sentencings of note this afternoon both in El Cajon's courthouse.

In Department 11 James Solak is being sentenced after pleading guilty to stealing copper wire from multiple schools and businesses

Then in Department 2 Blaine Anthony Arellano will hear his fate for assaulting his roommate, forcing her to stab him.

And finally at 10:00 AM 16 finalist are competing for $70,000 at the University of San Diego's fourth annual Social Innovation Challenge. The contest between San Diego college students is to come up with a solution for one of the world's economic, environmental or social problems.
