wow. i want you to win the contest.
personal observation tells me, that often it’s those who don't obey the rules, who are winning in the end.
    :-D

You should have sent it to the competition. It fits to the cover of rainbows! You got the flow.
I especially like the basedrum kicking in the red light. Good work! really good work!

Gosh it's really great. Why not release the beat data in the same free manner as the song this is based on? :)

Processing is an incredible tool, this is the best thing I've seen using it. It keeps you interested even though it's very abstract. Awesome work! I'd love to see it with those other songs you think work better with it.

Beautiful piece. Suits the track really well. Keeps in with Radiohead's type of thinking for their videos (i think anyway). Nice one.

Gnar Gnar Gnar. Love it. Got a friend thinking of entering the contest, but he can't figure out the deadline stuff.

I'll keep all posted with what he ends up with. I definitely think this could fly with the contest, but regardless the decision to not enter makes it even more gnarly.

This is sooo cool. I love the swarm almost hiding the thing. I have to check out the hires version, to understand what the sphere is actually made of.
Funny I work on a similar theme right now. Man... you´re setting pretty high standards here :)
I think you should enter it to the radiohead competition. That it´s unradioheadish makes it even more interesting.

    Sooo very cool and beautiful.
I want to try doing something like this in Houdini...

I think it totally works for Radiohead!
The video and the music together give me an emotional reaction that really fits in the same way I've felt with other Radiohead works.

I really hope you win this!

Pretty good, but felt it could of been much better. A lot of parts felt repetitious and could of used some key-framing or new layers.
  • flight404 3 months ago
Its all code based so thats probably why it felt repetitious. No key frames and no layers. I decided early on that I didnt want to use any post software. Its 100% Java.
  • Shawn 3 months ago
Hey that's cool. I found it on CDM. I've been watching the processing links. I use Touch Designer which is node based procedural 3D and allows keyframing. Anyway, your stuff is very cool and worth watching more than once. Keep up the awesome work and if you have time, submit something for NIN Ghosts YouTube contest. Peace. ~Shawn

amazing. is there an HD of this?
  •
  • Amazing. You've out done yourself again!

It took a little while for this to get started though.. the beginning is a bit long but the anticipation is good and it makes the climax + weird fish part really stunning.

    Thanks for creating this.

Question: are these rendered to video or can this be played in real time?

    Cheers,
    See-ming

On my way RIGHT NOW to putting my hand on processing. The thing it's written in Java, which is a very very scary languaje for me.
It killed all my family and I always knew the day would come for me to stand up to it. (?????)
