In Bangalore, Ananda Marga has a center for young women training to become yogic nuns or "acaryas". Acaryas of Ananda Marga are qualified to teach individual practices of yoga and meditation and run various social service projects throughout the world. anandamarga.org
I am also a Didi, or yogic nun of Ananda Marga, and went to Bangalore for a month in November 07 to deepen my spiritual practices. There are currently about 15 trainees, and on the last day of my stay I made this short video to commemorate our time together.
