19. Arches NP, Devil's garden (HF100)

Use download link on the right below for better quality.

UPDATE: Wall arch collapsed early August. I guess I was there just in time...

Arches NP, piece of the Devil's garden trail (shot with HF100 with WD-H43 and full auto 60i and auto W/B). Note this is unedited (some may prefer to add slightly more green or use outdoor W/B for these conditions).

It was very windy at times so ignore it's not very steady (plus I had no tripod) but this is just to give a quick impression about the trail.

I really like your WD-H43. Some ppl find it shaky using a wide angle lens, specially in pan shots. Is it something you've noticed?

It should actually be less shaky given the extra weight (the HF100 is very light).
The problem is probably rather the low (optical) stabilization correction that you see nowadays with almost all HD camcorders. I guess it's a tradeoff between resolution and agressive steady shot correction.

With HD best not to move much if at all to get good shots (this clip is probably not best example of that).
