Small feature piece for 'turn it off week' a fictional organisation which campaign to lessen the grip of commercial television on our souls.
The brief, for an after effects class I had at TAFE in 2009, was to design and create a 1 minute video advertising a film festival of my choosing. I kinda went the other way with it.
Everything was drawn in Pshop, animated in After Effects and edited in Premiere except for the digital transfer of 8mm film I used as a filter and the texan that pops up at 1:01. The audio track is Tim Hecker - The Truth of Accountants.
The rant is ripped from the 1976 film 'Network' which apart from being an amazing film, inspired the initial concept.
