what your saying is ? anyhow i like it
  • danLinfield 2 years ago
I'm trying to portray a sense of desolation, loss and alienation. For me, the landscape both of the subject and that of the clip itself take on these qualities, and they surpass the melancholy and melodrama of my videos.

    Nah, just kidding.

I liked the way the dark silhouette and ominous clouds contrasted with the frivolity of the amusement park.

I love this... what is that flarey effect to the right of the image.. was his in camera? or how did you achieve that?

    really great piece
  • danLinfield 2 years ago
The flarey effect was accidental. Most of the newer digital still cameras also shoot low res video. The red lines are a side effect of shooting video on a sensor that is designed for stills. I don't know all the technical details but effect is kinda cool. Looks like old film that got exposed before it was developed.

In the first half of the clip, the whole thing looks like some giant machine.
