Seriously smitten by this project (as a papa of 2 young kiddos who easily could have futzed around on that massive canvas, as an educator, as a school planner, etc). And its not even because of the TEDxAustin connection. Something more primal/playful/wishful than that. Just wish schools could grasp the majesty and magic of putting out a 'story' like this on their own websites as a reminder to their community and public what their passion truly is. Something so simple with an added electric pulse tossed in for good measure. Dig the work. A great deal!

Christian, Marty and I are both fathers and we totally hear you. Perhaps we can share this with schools...

I know that you and Marty are chatting on Twitter and looking for a time to meet. You can find me on there @AButlerBro

    Thanks for your kind words.

Such a great reminder that we all need to be free, spontaneous and creative. This video says so much.
I plan to share it soon with others.

It's a great video to understand how well-organized the event was.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate this video time after time...

...and how much I'm enjoying sharing it with educators and designers and technology advocates in terms of what should underlie out roles --> a commitment to the 'wonder' of 'play' + 'discovery' + 'getting messy' in kids' lives.

Plus, as a co-curator for TEDxBloomington ("The Wisdom of Play"), the video is creative rocket fuel for our team. Thanks!

So glad you are fueled by it. It was fun to make too.

Ullman said it best - 'Youth is a state of mind'.

The full poem is wonderful: main.uab.edu/Sites/UllmanMuseum/

"In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young."
