Prevailing research in neurobiology suggests that the brainstem is the housing for the self. Because the brainstem is the connector of the body and the mind, this implies that every embodied action plays an inseparable role in self-
formation. This video is from my MFA Thesis Exhibition. Along with the other work in the show, this video is a linkage of past and future autobiography. It is an indexed recording of a body generating maps and crossing boundaries. These boundaries are of the self that was, and is, and will be.
