Impressions from a wreck dive at the wreck "Island" in may 2014. The Island was a german support/patrol craft in world war II and was lost after hitting a mine southeast of the island langeland in denmark.
The wrack its sitting upright with a slight starboard list of 20-30 degrees. You can easily see the damages from the mine as the whole bow section is torn apart from the hull an lies 90° on its starboard side in front of the wreck. There are several scenes from this impressive sight in this video.
Island is - in my opinion - one of the most beautiful wrecks in the western baltic. The dives were organized by BlueSpirit.de.
