An excellent portrayal of senseless gang violence, well filmed, captured a sense of anarchy quite well. Don't really get the title though, Justice, Stress?

    Is this authentic or not?
  • bismarck44 1 year ago
It's not of course but that does not mean this stuff does not happen on a daily basis in places like France, Belgium, Germany etc..
  • Tolley Always 1 year ago
He might have meant if this was commissioned by the band, Justice. Gravas's extensive collection of gear would probably have been stolen.
  • It is authentic, that's the official video or Justice's "Stress" track (late comment, I know.. just thought you should know though)

Very good Video, but this is real life, especially in Germany!
  • Barry Cazimir 6 days ago
yea i know this is old but you dont really think this is real right i mean he would not just stand and watch those young kids do all of that right?
  • Nilz plus 5 days ago
that isn't what I meant by "this is serious". This is a music video which was directed [by ROMAIN-GAVRAS]. It was more of a way to say that I thought this was really well made, and that evoked emotions far deeper than "awesome video !"

authentic? it's not even that original. a rip from P.O.S. and/or massive attack.

What video of Massive attack? I saw the P.O.S and it's not exactly a rip, but the POS is great too, thanx for the tip :)

Great shots, don't think it was a rip off anything really, we've all seen something similar before... I just think the story needed to go somewhere besides the same things we see at the beginning... Great shots though, love the song.

Most of those that are abused either wither and die or bite back twice as hard. Neither result is good. They are desperately trying to take the power back to compensate for their feelings of powerlessness over the injustices committed against them. Trying to save their own self worth. But who will they become? Be strong. Break the cycle.

Clock Orange/Man Bites Dog...... in 6 mins, hats off to the D.O.P, but a bit shocking for the sake of it !

wish more attention was made of the twist towards the end, turning on the camera crew or us as the voyeurs on society's downfall, passive bystanders.
  •
  • Incredible. Genuinely top notch directing.

    disgusting and violent

So, what's the purpose of this video?
    to show some violence?
    but, for what?
everyday u can find this shit on the streets, so why showin' it more on video?
don't you got enuff of it?
    *sigh*

such videos like this one are just piece of crap for masses

    Panem et circenses, huh?

even the good work of cameraman can't save it from being shit.
  • shushpo 1 year ago

Humanity rose to its present status on Earth through greater intelligence and greater ambition than other animals.

The human animals among us will likely never understand they have no future. In enough time, given our collective wishes and ingenuity, those lines will be erased from the code.

It's any good to expose more violence than everydays'?
Shows a reality that maybe will never extint, but this, in inmature eyes, is a role model. Careful with the showing of the video.

  • keith harris 1 year ago
Keep in mind that this is "not" real and the comment would be a stereotype! How narrow minded people assume this, is what all brown and black people are like. Politics aside Film is an outlet for conversation and dialog. Lets raise awareness not condemn! Peace!

Disturbingly realistic. I guess my question is: what are you trying to say with this video? What it did for me was make me hate them as much as they hate the world. I guess that's the problem. Is there any hope?

  •
  • msouza plus 1 year ago
Hmmmm. Do we need to put violence to the "ultra-violence" level to be shocking... ?
Ok, It's very sucefull on every stage, image, looking, camera, acting, action. But i don't like the feeling seeing it. And i think it's the purpose of the video.
I am not sadic enough to get into it, and say that i like it. But as some other here, i've feel angry on the same level but against them.
Like a primal non sense rage of human nature and survival sense.
So the purpose is complete. I guess :)

Is there no one seeing a sound engineer, running with them, taking part in the car jacking and they are always asking the cameraman to film what they do...this clip is not showing senseless violence like you think it's a subtile critic of the French media only showing these young African immigrant kids when they burn cars as they cannot draw the attention of our governenment when they ask nicely...And the media is always making the story even if it's a isolated incident they will input it on all kids looking like them, meaning black, Arabs and all the "trash" living in those Parisian suburbs...
