The book is about a man, Simone, who for 51 years has been living inside a woman's body, Angela. Before he could not afford a sex reassignment surgery, but now since about 10 years ago the Italian national health service gives you the chance to do it almost for free. So Simone did it.
The project is an investigation through memories, discomfort, dreams and life expectations. The present, like Simone and Angela, is mixed up with the past and the future. The book design follows this continuum and gives the experience of entering the Simone's story; flipping the pages of the book is a journey through his feelings.
NB! The book is available for pre-sale as of 22 May: alessiabernardini.com/becoming-simone_the-book
