nice flow.. did you use a fisheye for some of those shots?
  • [ PIXEL VIKING ] plus 2 years ago
Thanks. Yes, I used my fisheye and a wideangle for this one.

Ah, Vancouver. I always visualize it as being much busier than it actually is. Nice angles, and the fisheye compliments it well, especially in library square.

  • Nice Rico! Vancouver looks beautiful! Don't know if I could take the cold temps though. I've got some thin Florida blood runnin' through my veins. You using the Raynox?

No, it's a so-called Lomography Super Wide Fisheye Adapter. I got it for my Holga Plastic medium format film camera. Have a look here: shop.lomography.com/shop/main.php?cat=Medium_Format&pro=fea

    Very nice,
Did you use your Canon HG10? Did you use same "interval time" to do this speed shots?
  • [ PIXEL VIKING ] plus 2 years ago
This was with the HG10, yes. I used between 8x & 12x normal speed.

So was this done in post production? As I have an HG10 and can't see any way that it does interval recording.

Love your stuff, BTW (particularly the wind power, SO cool)

    Hi Greg

Yes, in post. In Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0d, I can compress a clip 4x which makes it play back at 4x normal speed. If I want faster motion, I render the clip, import it again and compress some more.

Ah, good thinking! I use Vegas 8 Platinum, too. What do find the best way to import video from the camera is? As I thought he software that comes with it is possibly the worst in the whole world, I just drag and drop the whole folder on to my PC and then import directly into Vegas's media manager.

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.

I use the software that came with the camera. I don't really find it hard to use or bad in any way. I know about drag and drop but find the 'official' way OK to use.
