Well, it's only been 2.5 months since we returned home from India and I've finally completed about 1/8th of my video project! I have not been working on this continuously by any means. More like once in a while. I have about 80 GB worth of raw video to sort through so it's a daunting task. Also, I needed to figure out how to approach the subject.
After considering some sort of "impressions of India" kind of thing (not unlike Kay's blog approach) I finally decided to do a basic chronological travelogue -- similar to what I've done in the past, but with a bit more in the way of informational voice-overs since India is a much more mysterious place to most of us than, say, Italy. So, you'll hear my off-camera voice more often than usual.
We visited eight cities in northern India on this trip. The first seven of them were with a Road Scholar tour group, and the last one, Varanasi, we did on our own. This video covers our three night stay in Delhi.
For the gear geeks out there, I used a Panasonic G6 camera, mainly with a 14-140 zoom lens. Sometimes I attached a Sony shotgun mic to it. Kay used her Nikon D5000 camera, mainly with an 18-200 zoom lens.
