Come Around My Way: A Youth Media Project is our flagship after-schoolyouth media program. Launched as a partnership with C.A. Johnson High Schooland Richland Library in the fall of 2013, the program works with students on the production of short documentary films exploring the historical and contemporary issues facing their neighborhoods.

Kiaja and Kenji (NYSC Productions) created this documentary film to tackle the problem of homelessness. Their issue was that there are people in their community that do not have a place to live, no food, clothes or family. To the public eye they might have family, but their family members may not want to be involved with them. They used man-on-the-street interviews, reporter-style interviews, and confessionals to craft their film.
