In which I demonstrate the process of blocking and prove that I know where my shoulders are.

I forgot to mention that you block your pieces so that the stitches even out, you make sure that the pieces will be the right size when you wash the garment after you have washed it, you can make pieces larger by stretching during blocking (they will hold that size once they are dry), and it makes it easier to sew the pieces together.

  • I can't believe that you're almost done with this. Watching your progress has been amazing, like watching a child grow up.

I can't wait to see the finished piece!!!

I never knew that "blocking" was involved, that's really cool.

hahaha I like the silent observer credit.

I know. It's crazy that it's almost done. Soon it'll be time to turn it loose in this crazy world. Hope it remembers everything I taught it.

Yes, Mei was silent, but only when the camera was on her. She was making plenty of noise afterwards.

Haha, cool. I like blocking. It kind of looks like you made the sweater for your carpet haha. It's almost done!

Anyone who can train for and run a marathon has amazing amounts of persistence. You'd probably be done with the sweater by now.

Hi Ben....well....after all that work you are nearly finished....I can't wait to see the end result. You have put so much work into it - and no doubt you could sell it on e-bay with the coplete video of how it was made too...should fetch a pretty penny...but then again I'm not sure after all that work I would let someone else wear my work - just wouldn't seem right for some reason. Anyway, I hope you finish soon as I'm off to Egypt and not sure if I'll be able to log on any time soon. It's been great watching you all these weeks - just wish I had the time and patience to do the same....although I do remember knitting a scarf when I was at school....lol....a bit different but...

    thumbs up mate...
