Similar to LSystem functionality I used VEX here to create plant like geometry with directed growth behaviour that starts with simple straight lines.

The algorithm grows at each generation step upwards and towards nearby targets. The growth itself is a crude integer based step process and no attempt was here made to refine temporal smoothness. The tropism behaviour leads to different branches of the plant to develop towards changing targets, so each frame step represents one possible complete growth cycle.

The setup has a simple fruiting logic, senses distance and direction to attracting objects, and includes a pruning system to avoid overly dense geometry configurations.
