One of our most-asked questions is whether our Hue Animation software includes chroma key, a technique also known as 'green-screening'. Chroma key is often used in movies to change the background image to let normal actors appear in impossible situations, but it's also used for all kinds of other purposes - many television weather reports use chroma key to show an interactive map behind the presenter!

We thought it was time we explained how it worked. This lengthy tutorial goes through all of the basics from start to finish to show you how to add chroma key effects in your own animations without any special equipment.

All of the animation footage shown in the video was created in Hue Animation Studio using our Hue camera.
