Everybody loves these Brio trains. They are made of mostly wood, and they are free from the tedious anthropomorphizing of competing toy train brands. The problem with the Brio trains is the powered engine is slow, slow, slow. Sometimes it has trouble making it around the track all by itself, let alone pulling lot of cars.

I could not let this low performance injustice stand, so Thomas and I doubled the voltage, running time, and weight of the engine with an awesome looking modification that I'm sure is completely non-toxic.
