Here is my cover of "Amado Mio", a song written by Doris Fisher with music by Allan Roberts and performed for the first time in 1946 for the black and white film Gilda. The piece was mimed by Rita Hayworth and sung by Anita Kert Ellis.. My cover is based on the cover version done by Pink Martini in their 1997 album Sympathique (Gold record in France). Pink Martini is an American group of twelve musicians from Portland (Oregon), characterized by a musical style blending old influences, jazz, Latin, lounge music, classical music, as well as texts sung in many languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Arabic, Neapolitan, Croatian, Mandarin, Romanian and modern Greek. Formed in 1994, the band performed in concerts all around the world during its first three years of existence. Thanks to the success of their album Sympathique, the musical group continues to give concerts around the world.

Amado mio
Love me forever
And let forever begin tonight

Amado mio
When we're together
I'm in a dream world
Of sweet delight

Many times I've whispered
Amado mio
It was just a phrase
That I heard in plays
I was acting a part

But now when I whisper
Amado mio
Can't you tell I care
By the feeling there
'Cause it comes from my heart

I want you ever
I love my darling
Wanting to hold you
And hold you tight

Amado mio
Love me forever
And let forever
Begin tonight

Repeat from verse 3
