Video by Jessica Dimmock and Mark Jackson. Right on Red Films.

Jessica Dimmock and Mark Jackson on their film for 'Wait For Me':

"When approached about doing the video for Wait For Me, we were most interested in climbing inside a moment in someone's life.  We have long been interested in the experience of loneliness, and what happens when you feel the necessity to leave.  We were motivated by the emotional landscape that unfolds when you stay within such a small and intimate narrative.  In keeping with the DIY spirit of Moby's album, we decided to limit the collaboration to ourselves and our subject."

  • I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but that made me nauseous...it was very intense -- beautiful, haunting, sad...and intense.

Man, it makes me really sad to see she relapsed again..at the end of the ninth floor, i was really hoping jessie will make it clean..no judgment intended just a feeling.

The video weaves the music and the narrative beautifully, It feels very honoring and dignifying that you actually didn't cut to the actual process..

    Very emotional piece.
    thank you

I think the way it was filmed, especially the depth of field, minimized the distance to the subject, very real and very touching. I will probably post it on my blog.

i agree with richard payne. i do think this is hauntingly beautiful but i dont think you can turn a powerful book into a music video. i think this poor woman has been exploited and taken advantage of because of her problem. it makes me question jennifers and mobys judgement. im sure the money she got from this put her one step closer to her grave.

  • Intense and powerful! The soundtrack is ideal for this visual narrative. I believe that you captured her loneliness and need in a raw, sad, yet poignant way.

I have not seen the movie this video proceeds, and the video still told a complete story for me.
