18. Canon HF10 Monochrome Digital Effect Tests in Low Light
2 years ago
Tests of using the HF10 Monochrome digital effect in low light conditions in combination with the main exposure modes.

Three examples starting with normal color, then enabling the monochrome effect:

1) Night mode setting and auto-exposure

2) Night mode, but after locking exposure and reducing to -5

3) Cinemode using auto-exposure.

    Hey Mike good tests.

I was wondering if you see a loss in picture quality when you record at the XP, SP and LP which give you more time but record at a lower rate of megabytes per second?

I'm sure I'd see more artifacts at lower bitrate, but I'm pretty sure I'll never use the lower rates unless I was really pressed for SDHC card space.
