My friends and I had a Chatroulette session a few days ago. We ended up with about the same results. Although I did a little experiment of my own (I should have filmed it). I got up, put a pink scarf on my head and started acting stupid. Making faces, pretending that I was eating my girlfriend's foot that was hanging in the frame (without her actually showing).
Interestingly I didn't get next-ed as often as when we had our 2 very pretty girlfriends in frame.
So my conclusion is that people will watch when there is something interesting or weird happening, or even if there is a lot of movement.
I'll film and post our next session. I't wont be as nice as yours for sure, but it might be funny as I make a fool out of myself :)
(I'm in broadcasting by the way, so this is a truly great way to study peoples reactions to new (and old) things thrown at them)

I agree with your stats and assessment. I got used to being "nexted" pretty quickly, but I still felt the burn when a pretty lady clicked me away.
Anyway, excellent editing, filming, use of props, etc. You're an inspiration to a film newbie like myself! Keep up the good work and I expect you'll make it to your dreams someday.

One note though: It was only 'the middle of a work day', as you put it, in your part of the world. Most of the rest of the globe were either up early, up late, or done with work for the day.
