The skin of Poison Dart Frogs produces some of the most potent toxins on the planet. Dr Adolfo Amezquita, Professor of herpetology at Universidad dos Andes in Bogota has an unusual, if not insane, method for testing how toxic they are - he licks them. In this clip he teaches me his special trick. NOTE: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME ADOLFO IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL HERPETOLOGIST AND A WORLD EXPERT IN DART FROG TOXICITY. THE FROGS WE LICKED HAD RECENTLY BEEN TESTED FOR TOXICITY AND ADOLFO KNEW THEY WERE SAFE.
