Since 2000, Pilgrim Relief Society has installed over 90 solar powered water systems in San (Bushman) Villages in the Kalahari Desert. The San have managed to survive in this harsh environment on 200ml of water a day per person. These solar powered water systems provide these villages with clean water by tapping to a large subterranean basin underneath the Kalahari desert. For more information go to pilgrimsociety.com.
