Brittany and Luke were my first Virginia wedding of 2014, and I couldn't have asked for a more stunning welcome home than an event at the gorgeous Veritas Vineyards. Spending the last eight months in a concrete jungle was quickly forgotten as we pulled up to the rolling hills and springtime vistas of Afton, Virginia. I'm so glad I got to start off my 2014 season in my home state with such incredible scenery.
Both Luke and Brittany are fantastic people and an even better couple. Preparing with couples from the moment they arrive till the moment they leave reveals a lot about the ins and outs of their friends and family. Brittany and Luke's relationship was undoubtedly long and storied and they had built up a bank of mutual friends with more than enough anecdotes to get me excited for the day.
The ceremony, decorated with a gorgeous assortment of white flowers courtesy of Honey Bee's Florists, was no disappointment. Set before the stunning backdrop of distant Virginia mountains, Luke and Brittany's quirky and all together entertaining story as a couple was retold fantastically. The reception was held inside Veritas Vineyard's winery and the night was just as fun with fireworks to top the night off (as well as a cheese fries truck I may have snagged seconds or thirds from).
All in all, April 19th proved to be an intimate, fun wedding in an equally as breathtaking part of Virginia. I had a blast working with Sara Petras Photography and I hope you all enjoy this film as much as I did making it!
