The game was played under nice conditions. It was a sloppy game, as they tend to be this time of year. We dominated the set pieces, winning most of WCU's scrums and lineouts, and that set the tone for the game. We had most of the possession but weren't fit enough or well drilled enough to do a lot with it. WCU put in some hard hits and strong runs, but in the end weren't organized enough to do much with them. They scored a nice try on a strong run from 20 meters out in the 36th minute for their only score.

Our man of the match was Michael Thompson who was easily our most active forward and was probably involved in twice as many plays as any other forward.
