Static - Dynamic
At first I was going on a completely different direction with this piece. I wanted a dynamic movement in the background while the foreground remained in normal speed. Since we shot the footage very late in the night (2-3 o'clock if I'm not mistaken) there were only a few cars passing by. So I decided to go on a completely different direction. Do the piece on really slow motion. This is a 20 second movie stretched to 2 minutes. I'm quite happy with the result though I would have preferred a 3 or 4 minute piece. It would accentuate even more the feeling of movement in a static picture.
The footage is also color corrected and adjusted to give the appropriate feeling.

Mauricio, the music isn't part of a song. It's samples layered on top of other samples with one main melody.
Dan and "Wasted Lives" the color grading was done is magic bullet looks program. Very versatile and easy to use. Other than that my camcorder setup is basically that. Just the HV30. Have to save up for the other stuff...
Edgar the technique used is basically image interpolation. What you basically do is use a program that supports that kind of thing. In my case apple motion. After effects does that too. And what it does is to create middle frames for the already existing ones. The cache files for those though are very big. For that 20 second footage I had to spare 4.5GB just for the cache. So be sure to have lots of space...
=D
What's that piece of music btw?
its called Sea of Tranquility.
Alex_Higuera, I'm glad I inspired you!!!
