Glidecam 2000 Handheld- I have been using it for almost 5 years! I love it and it has changed my business and my biceps! :)
Lens used 16-35 2.8

PS: I forgot to mention... there are a couple 60P 7D shots in there too...oops!!

Hey Gebbs, how do u handle the low shots? I can only guess its upside down or something but the sled is pretty long to be able to do it hand held so low
  •
  • GEBBS plus 1 year ago
It is upside down and on the 2000 with the way I have it setup it works great... My post is fairly short.

That last shot of the bride is great. Nice work. Now that I own one of these things, I can appreciate how difficult it is to get these shots and make them look so good.

    hi there....
how did you manage with the focus?
  • GEBBS plus 1 year ago
Basically wide angle lenses help a TON!! I'm almost always shooting on the glidecam with the 16-35 shooting somewhere between 16-24. I set the focus to infinity and then FLY AWAY ;)

    Pure Awesomeness!
You truly know how to handle the Glidecam.

Do you shoot with an external LCD monitor then or no..?
  • Ryan McCormick 1 year ago
By the way, the last shot of this video was really breathtaking!
  • GEBBS plus 1 year ago
just the glidecam 2000 handheld and the lcd on the camera...Thanks so much I'm very proud of the last show ;)

  • Ryan McCormick 1 year ago
Wow! Impressive...what if you do those upside-down shots to get a low angle shot and then switch it in post. Is it pretty much guessing on your part if you don't have an external LCD that you can switch the orientation? By the way, how old are you? You don't look that old, but you have so much skill!
  • GEBBS plus 1 year ago
the upside-down shots are pretty tricky...almost a guessing game...Thanks so much man for the kind comments it means a lot to me!! I'm 23 years old. I started my company right out of highschool and never went to college. It's been going pretty well so far!!

Oh wow! I feel so behind the game! I'm 24 and haven't even really scratched the surface of the level of professionalism that you're at! I went to college, but I really feel it didn't do much for me in the way of video/film. Thanks for your work...you inspire me to get off my butt and actually do something instead of adoring everyone else's work. Thanks...keep it up!
  • GEBBS plus 1 year ago
GET UP OFF THAT ASS and do something lol!!! Its all good dude, I've been working since I was 10...I'm crazy. But anyways there is nothing wrong with watching peoples work and getting inspiration. I do it all the time!! Just make it a point to go out and do something and learn!! You gotta want it and it will happen. Take care buddy and good luck! Michael

  • GEBBS plus 1 year ago
I have a 2000 from like 4 years ago. It works amazing with the 5D and battery grip. Everything was shot with that exact setup ;) Thanks for the kind words I really appreciate it!

Beautiful. Was recently shooting in the desert ere in the UAE using a glidecam sans vest and I really can't imagine reaching that level beauty without it.

I wonder, how'd you set up the base plate? I've always been using a sheet of paper folded to the umpteenth possibility and forcing it in with the M6 screw from my manfrotto tripod.

Do you add any weight to the top of the glidecam 2000? So smooth for such a light setup...

Hey, this is very nice! I own a the same Glidecam and have just been practicing a lot to get decent shots but I can't seem to do the last (fine-tune) 5% balancing. How do you get it to be just right?

That is one sweet demo reel and could easily have watched it if it were an hour long! I'm sure a lot of trial and error and hard work got your technique honed to this level. Very inspiring work.:)
